Fit-Out

WorkPlace can provide you with an experienced project manager to work as part of your team on a fit-out project. Sometimes we work in partnership with you on the project and sometimes we work as a stand-alone project manager reporting to you. It depends on the amount of involvement you want to have in the project. We can also work on fit-out projects as a mentor to you or a colleague advising on how to project manage the fit-out.

A WorkPlace Project Manager will be remunerated only by you and will be motivated only by what is in your best interests and in your organisation's best interests. Building contractors and Design & Build companies will be keen to offer you project management as part of their service but we believe that this role should be entirely client focused without any other vested interests. We can also advise whether you need additional professionals for the project such as a CDM Co-ordinator or a Quantity Surveyor.

A typical scope of work for a WorkPlace Project Manager on a fit-out project would be to:

  • Plan the project and develop an outline programme
  • Consult client team and customer representatives to develop a brief for the project
  • Assist with budget planning
  • Draw up client-side project plan
  • Propose a short-list of possible contractors and participate in the selection process
  • Develop communication strategy for the project
  • Lead weekly team meetings
  • Liaise with IT and other internal teams to co-ordinate their role in the project
  • Identify procurement plan and work with internal team to ensure items are ordered
  • Manage change process
  • Oversee works
  • Manage snagging and handover process

The scope of work can be tailored to suit your individual requirements or the specifics of the project.
